The Hr Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to other HR professionals by documenting staff changes, performance reports and communications. The Hr Assistant duties include scheduling onboarding tasks, processing payroll updates and managing communications for the HR department. The Hr Assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. The Hr Assistant must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, the Hr Assistant should display remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.
Hr Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including employee questions, collecting signature, printing and distributing checks.
- Assists with new hire orientation preparation, new hire material.
Hr Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related.
- Solid experience as an HR assistant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Capable with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system, and similar computer applications.
