The Accounting Clerk Associate will perform transactional accounting functions in the general ledger system, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. The Accounting Clerk Associate will provide minimal ad hoc reporting and general support as needed to the finance department. The Accounting Clerk Associate check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. The Accounting Clerk Associate organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Also record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
Accounting Clerk Associate Responsibilities:
- Analyze invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
- Communicate with vendors, maintain relationships with vendors’ accounts receivable representatives and advise on priority of payments.
- Process checks runs and prepare mailings or initiate online and/or by phone payments.
- Enter general ledger transactions into the accounting software.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting package and any related materials needed for presentation purposes.
- Make recommendations for improvements in department processes as identified.

Accounting Clerk Associate Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Solid experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures.
- Ability to meet monthly deadlines.
