The Supply Chain Analyst has an important role in the planning and carrying out of large-scale projects. A Supply Chain Analyst collects data and then analyzes in order to make improvements to the supply chain system also work to promote top-notch performance from workers and lower the costs of items used in projects. The Supply Chain Analyst serves as the contact point for many large purchases made from outside of the company for projects. Also research fair prices and negotiate with company representatives to ensure the parent company is receiving the best possible price for good solid. Additionally, The Supply Chain Analyst aware of the stock on hand and actively monitor what is being used to support other team members by making sure they have the tools they require.
Supply Chain Analyst Responsibilities:
- Liaises with internal and external parties as required, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- Supports direct leader in implementation of the supply chain management strategy.
- Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
- Prioritizes tasks, takes responsibility for results.
- Provides cover for colleagues where necessary.
- Analyzes work processes with the objective of driving efficiency, service levels and cost reduction.
- Analyzes and interprets data to recommend a course of action.
- Assists with testing of new procedures and systems.
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
- Optimize inventory/supply holdings to limit excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring satisfaction of customer orders.
- Coordinate inventory shipments to ensure seamless delivery to distribution centers.
- Balance inventory requirements to minimize the potential for back-orders.
Supply Chain Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Solid progressive experience in business.
- Gives attention to detail and follows instruction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management; maximizes productivity.
- Prepares written materials to meet purpose and audience.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
- Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments.
