The Project Engineering Manager will be integral to the daily success of engineering projects, ensuring all contractual requirements are achieved while meeting the safety, budget and schedule goals The Project Engineering Manager plans and directs all design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects. The Project Engineering Manager manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. Being a Project Engineering Manager oversees product and also service´s construction and testing in order to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Project Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Meet all contractual requirements and ensure the work conforms to the plans and specifications.
- Manage project budgets and cash flow.
- Build and maintain relationships with the owner, architect/engineer and other project partners.
- Ensure the project schedule accurately depicts the construction plan and project progress.
- Foster an environment of communication and information sharing.
- Manage the project’s staffing plan and forecast personnel needs at all phases of construction.
- Carry procurement goals throughout the life of the project and ensure scope, pricing, and schedule meet all project needs.
- Prepare quality control reports and documentation of work completed.
Project Engineering Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive summaries and presentations.
- Solid project management work experience.
- Able to work effectively with multiple levels and disciplines
- Computer fluency including word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools and enterprise software.
- Strong inter-personal, influencing, negotiating, consensus building, and conflict resolution skills.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
