The Shipping and Receiving Manager work in a wide array of industries and must have a strong understanding of how their products should be stored. On top of Shipping and Receiving Manager other duties, they are often responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse. The Shipping and Receiving Manager also make recommendations to management on new products to buy or ways to curtail spending on distribution. Shipping and Receiving Manager Responsibilities:

  • Process in and out bound shipments.
  • Monitor inventory control.
  • Work alongside store manager to execute and guide internal inventory.
  • Send out all client charge sends.
  • Maintain front and back of house operations.
  • Effectively communicate with store manager on things relating to shipment, operations and charge sends.

Shipping and Receiving Manager Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Solid experience in Shipping & Receiving.
  • Strong change management and influence skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Aptitude to multi-task.
