The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant will perform efficiently daily accounting and bookkeeping functions related to the operations. The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant will maintain financial records ensuring availability of records and compliance with regulatory guidelines. The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant must prepare bank deposits, verify and balance receipts, pay and verify invoices and bills. The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant performs bank reconciliations and traces discrepancies

The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Review mail, email, and other communications daily for actionable items, such as checks, invoices, notices, etc. and communicate timely to Account Manager
  • Enter clients’ invoices into accounting software and pay bills accurately and timely on an ongoing basis, which includes recurring bills
  • Process and record bank deposits into correct entities/accounts
  • Download, code, and record monthly credit card transactions accurately and timely
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations accurately and timely
  • Prepare cash receipt and disbursement report under supervision of Account Manager
  • Record and run payroll under Account Manager’s supervision

The Bookkeper Virtual Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Solid work experience
  • Has interest in learning bookkeeping concepts
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Works effectively in a team environment through collaboration and partnership
  • Client service oriented
  • Excellent typing skills for all data entry (productivity and efficiency is a priority for this job)
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
