The Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS) reports to the VP of Accounts and is responsible for the development, execution, and management of the creation and implementation of digital media marketing strategies across multiple social, email, web and video channels for the agency and its clients.

The DMS will collaborate directly with clients and will provide direction, and support, to department content editors and will maintain digital content in support of the client’s communication and marketing efforts including content development for, and maintenance of, the client’s various social media, email, and web platforms. The DMS will develop and implement procedures and guidelines for web content management, will administer the content management system, and digital content standards, style guides, policies, and service agreements. 

The DMS will also provide proofreading, copywriting, editing, monitoring, and ensuring confidential client-facing deliverables meet the highest standards of grammar, style, formatting, and consistency while aligning with strict client brand guidelines. 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or business-related field, three or more years of experience in digital marketing, or similar responsibilities, and must be proficient with MAC, Chrome, multiple window workflow, online applications, and password management. Additionally, The Agency uses Asana, Trello, Workfront, Page Proof, Proof HQ, Box, Dropbox, Adobe, Hubspot, Loomly, Mailchimp, Squarespace, WordPress, FB Business Manager, LinkedIn, Sprout Social, and Microsoft 365.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): 

Social Media: 

  • Develops content for various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social media channels to ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks. 
  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy.
  • Develops digital content, including videos, photos, and motion graphics, for special programs, promotions and campaigns.

  • Recommends, develops, implements, updates, and maintains digital content for TCD’s company website and client websites. 
  • Optimize new and existing web pages, including writing, editing, and providing design recommendations. 
  • Coordinates the creation of digital content and campaigns with photographers, videographers, graphic designers, public information officers, and vendors. 
  • Provides content management and guidance to web editors.
  • Assists content providers in updating and maintaining their webpages.
  • Ensure standards and guidelines are met.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives; plans, develops, and communicates web and digital strategies. 
  • Participates and leads cross-functional meetings with teams to support and advise on how digital content may be utilized; compiles and evaluates analytics to support the effective use of digital content. 
  • Supports management by aiding in defining site purpose, target audiences, layout, navigation, design, functionality, content, photos, and testing. 
  • Coordinates the regular review of all web pages, designs, and features of the website to ensure they are accurate, consistent, interactive, easily navigable, visually appealing. 
  • Utilizes basic search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and analytics to maximize the volume of inbound traffic from search engines to all websites.

Proofreading and editing, including:

  • Review copy for accuracy, completeness, and quality standards.
  • Edit materials for world-building, tone, and character, as well as for cultural understanding by target audiences. 
  • Copy-edit materials for spelling, grammar, typesetting, readability, and consistency, and ensure they are ready for delivery, print, and/or publication .
  • Ability to interpret and implement client brand guidelines and standards.
  • Ability to adhere to a style guide.

Copywriting, including: 

  • Work on a variety of projects, heavy healthcare copy, creating health-focused web, email, and social media posts, as well as other needs that arise. 
  • Deep understanding of how best to talk to patients, using both internal clinical experts and secondary research to refine messaging for target audience. 

▪ Comfortable distilling complicated scientific/medical information into understandable, patient-friendly copy, as well as writing at a more scientifically advanced level for our physician audiences. 

  • Establish and create compelling patient and physician omnichannel engagement programs.

Deliverable oversight, including:

  • Work closely with account managers and designers as the subject-matter expert to create high-quality deliverables including written reports, images, graphics, and other creative materials related to clients as assigned.

  • Fielding, processing, and responding to internal, and client, requests as they arise.
